No Longer Working, Finally Living

It’s been a minute since I’ve put pen to paper—or fingers to keys—but the time away has been necessary. Life hasn’t been lifing in the chaotic, overwhelming way it used to. In fact, these last few months have been nothing short of amazing.

I’ve been quiet, but I’ve been present. Soaking in the changes. Trying to find my footing in this new chapter. And through it all, one thing is crystal clear—I’m happy. Not fake, performative, “I’m fine” happy. Not smile-through-the-tears happy. But real happy. Grounded. Light. Free.

I’m still not “working” in the traditional sense. And if I’m keeping it all the way real—I have zero desire to ever work for anyone else again. That season has passed.

Now don’t get it twisted. I’m working. Actually, I’m working 1000x harder and 100x more than before. But it’s different. It’s purposeful. It’s rewarding. It’s mine.

The flexibility. The freedom. The ability to be present—not just in my kids’ lives, but in my own. And even in my mother’s life. That kind of presence is a gift. One I didn’t realize I was missing until I had it.

I’m finally living life on purpose. And that means everything.

If you’re in a season of shift, transition, or even silence—I want you to know this: sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is choose you. Even when it’s scary. Especially when it’s scary.

This is just the beginning.
